Control System Supervisor (CSS)

CSS is our legacy front-end system for Andover AC256/AC8 and Infinity/Continuum panels.

While we now recommend using Catalyst Pro, CSS is still available for users who need extra work stations or just prefer to use CSS.

CSS features include:

CSS is no longer updated. Version 1.3 is the latest, and final version. It is still supported but no new features are being added.

Below are the full installation files for CSS. Each of them is a .Zip file that contains two files: Disk #1 and Disk #2 of the full install. After downloading, unzip the file and copy each of them to a diskette, or optionally to a temporary folder on your hard drive. Do not run the files from within the .Zip.

All of the full install files below are version 1.3 and are functionally identical other than the licensing method that is used. Please do not attempt to change the version you are using unless directed by technical support as it can invalidate your license.

CSS v1.30 USB Key/Trial Version

This version should be used for new customer evaluations or if you already have the green USB key or tan, unmarked printer port key. This will not work with the printer port keys marked "Sentinel Pro".

This is the full installation of CSS 1.30 (green USB key). It is a fully functional 30-day trial copy. No features or functions have been disabled. It can be freely copied and given to anyone. Once you decide to purchase it, you will be sent a USB key to license the copy. This version will work with Windows 98/ME/2000 and XP (Windows 95 and NT do not support USB).

CSS v1.30 License Code Version

This is the license code version. It has been superceded by the USB key version above. Use this file only if you already have a license code version or if you just prefer not to use a USB key.

This is the full installation of CSS 1.30 (license code version). It is a fully functional 30-day trial copy. No features or functions have been disabled. It can be freely copied and given to anyone. Once you decide to purchase it, you will be sent a license code to license the copy. This version will work with Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000 and XP.

CSS v1.30 Original Printer Port Key Version

This version is the original printer port key version. It has been superceded by the USB key version above. Use this file only if you already have a tan or gray printer port key marked 'Sentinel Pro' . This will not work with the newer, unmarked printer port keys.

This is the full installation of CSS 1.30 (original printer port key version). This version will work with Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000 and XP.

Changing CSS Versions

The only real difference between the versions listed above are the CSS.Exe file and with some versions, the CSS.Cmp file.

To update your current version to any of the versions above:

Close the CSS program if it is running.
It is recommended that you make a backup copy of your \CSS folder and all sub-folders now.
Rename your current \CSS folder to \CSSTEMP.
Do a full install of one of the files above to a new \CSS folder. A full install is essential because certain files need to be registered within Windows.
After installation, copy all of the files from the \CSSTEMP folder to the new \CSS folder *except* the CSS.Exe and CSS.Cmp files. The CSS.Cmp file may or may not exist depending on the version you already had installed. All other files and sub-folders in the \CSSTEMP folder should be copied to the new \CSS folder.
After verifying proper operation of the new install (making sure all sites, graphics, etc are present and working), the \CSSTEMP folder can be deleted.

The Monitor 1 .Exe File

This is the original DOS Mon.Exe file with the copy protection removed. The original licensing system was not compatible with Windows NT/2000/XP. This program may or may not work with your particular Windows settings and it is no longer supported on Windows-based computers. Please note that this program is not in the public domain and still requires licensing for each customer.

The Monitor 2 Full Install File

This is the DOS "Monitor 2" program with the copy protection removed. The original licensing system was not compatible with Windows NT/2000/XP.
